HelperHarmony is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your personal data when you use our household management application. By using HelperHarmony, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Data Collection
When you use HelperHarmony, we may collect and process the following personal data: your name and/or nickname, email address, and user profile photo or avatar; household financial or expense records, household task scheduling, and planning content; and system-generated unique user identifiers (User ID).
2. Data Sharing Within Households
The core functionality of our application involves household management and member binding. Please be aware that: when you join or create a household account using a "Household Code," other authorized members within that specific household (such as employers or domestic helpers) will be able to view your name, avatar, task assignments, and financial logs created within that household. We implement strict data isolation technologies (Row-Level Security, RLS) to ensure that unauthorized third parties or other household groups can never access your household's internal data.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
To provide account verification (such as OTP login), system notifications, and essential platform functionality, we transmit your email address and other necessary related data to legitimate third-party cloud service providers and email delivery infrastructure providers. We ensure that all such providers comply with strict data security and confidentiality standards, and they are prohibited from using your data for any other commercial purposes.
4. Data Security, Storage, and Retention
Encryption: All data is encrypted during transmission and securely stored on protected cloud servers. Retention Period: We only retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services to you. Your financial logs and uploaded images are securely retained for 24 months. After this period, the historical data will be automatically and permanently deleted by the system.
5. No Sale of Data
HelperHarmony does not sell, rent, or lease your personal data to third parties. Your data remains strictly within your household account, accessible only to authorized members you have approved.
6. Image Processing
To optimize storage space and maintain a smooth user experience, all uploaded receipt photos are automatically compressed to a web-optimized size (maximum 1024px width) during transmission to save storage while maintaining clear readability.
7. Your Rights and Data Deletion Policy
We fully respect your control over your personal data, in strict compliance with Google Play and Apple App Store user rights mandates. Data Export and Deletion: You can request to export your data or delete your account at any time through the in-app settings. Account Deletion Outcome: Once you initiate the "Delete Account" action within the app and confirm it, the system will permanently and immediately remove all your personal data, household associations, and related historical records from our servers. This action is irreversible. You may also contact us via the official email provided in Section 10 to manually submit a data deletion request.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are not targeted at individuals under the age of 18. We do not intentionally or knowingly collect personal information from children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will promptly delete such data.
9. App Updates and Critical Security Patches
To guarantee system security, fix critical vulnerabilities, or prevent abuse, this application regularly releases updates. In accordance with platform terms of service, when critical security vulnerabilities or severe operability issues arise, security patches may be applied automatically to protect all user data.
